Test Analyst
We’re recruiting a Test Analyst to join our Business Change Team at Conister Bank.
Ensure product quality by designing and executing test plans, validating requirements, managing test schedules, and enhancing testing frameworks.
This role can be based in the Isle of Man or Basingstoke Office.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will play a critical role in assessing systems and ensuring the smooth implementation of banking solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Test Documentation – Develop and maintain key test artifacts, including:
- Test Strategy & Approach
- Test Cases
- Test Summary Reports
- Business Requirements Validation – Ensure requirements are concise, testable, and aligned with business needs.
- Design Validation – Assist in ensuring designs meet requirements and can be effectively tested.
- Test Execution & Management – Oversee testing schedules, sequencing, and execution to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Reporting & Communication – Provide regular updates on testing progress to the project team and key stakeholders.
- Process Improvement – Contribute to enhancing the testing framework, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaboration – Work with the Change Team and external partners to develop better testing approaches.
- Test Estimation – Provide accurate estimates for testing timelines and resource needs.
Principal Accountabilities
You will report to the Business Change Manager and collaborate closely with the Change Team, IT Team, and Business Teams across MFG entities.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Test Analyst in banking, insurance, or investments.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in large-scale projects.
- Testing Expertise – Hands-on experience delivering test artifacts such as test strategies, cases, and reports.
- Technical Skills –
- Proficiency with testing tools
- Understanding of different project methodologies
- Beneficial: Ability to write and navigate basic SQL scripts
- Beneficial: Experience with automated testing tools
- Certifications (Preferred) – Professional Testing Qualifications would be advantageous.
Working Relationships
As a Test Analyst, you will work closely with:
- Business Change Team
- IT Team
- Various Business Teams across MFG Entities
This role requires strong collaboration across departments to ensure a structured and effective testing process.
Decision Making Authority
This role includes delegated authority to define and implement test strategies, approve test plans and execution schedules, and identify risks and defects before product release. It also involves recommending process improvements and prioritising testing efforts in line with Conister Bank’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
